These are some of the newer singers, in no particular order, that I’ve been revisiting this week. Each has their own unique style and voice, and have put out music in the past year. Click their names to see their latest works released on Soundcloud.

1. Ravyn Lenae – Free Room
This is a wonderful dance track from the Chicago singer. I fully expect to hear more of her music after she graduates from *HIGH SCHOOL* this year.
2. Kevin Garrett – Stranglehold
His voice is like velvet. The Pittsburgh native won over the crowd during his last Houston show with a cover of Beyonce’s Pray You Catch Me which he wrote along with James Blake.
3. Charlotte Dos Santos – Red Clay
A Norwegian singer and Berklee alumna, her soulful R&B is a recent discovery and favorite.
4. Moses Sumney – Lonely World
I’ve been a fan of Moses Sumney and his otherworldly voice for years, but I continue to be surprised by how he uses it. I’m so glad he’s now leaving Los Angeles to perform regularly but I want a full album soon!
5. Etta Bond – Bad 4 Me
I can’t wait to see her live. This song, claimed by one friend as her anthem for better or for worse, fully captures the British singer’s sultry style.
6. Kiah Victoria – Tralalala
I LOVE this song by New Yorker Kiah Victoria. The performance of it. Her voice. Everything. You will too.
